Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister and Biju Janata Dal (BJD) president Naveen Patnaik kicked off his election campaign from his stronghold of Hinjili Assembly constituency in Ganjam district with a resolute vision for the state’s future.
In his impassioned address, Patnaik vowed to propel Odisha to the forefront of India’s development landscape by 2036, coinciding with the state’s centenary.
At the heart of Patnaik’s campaign lies the 5T transformation, a comprehensive agenda encompassing transparency, teamwork, technology, time and transformation.
Emphasizing women empowerment, youth budget, and skill development, Patnaik rallied support for ‘Jodi Sankha’, urging voters to endorse candidates from both Lok Sabha and Vidhan Sabha aligned with his vision.
Patnaik minced no words in criticizing the opposition, accusing them of obstructing progress for political gain. He highlighted his government’s achievements, citing the transformation of millions through self-help groups, zero-interest loans for farmers, and initiatives like Mission Shakti empowering women.
Under his leadership, Odisha has emerged as a trailblazer in health, education, and disaster management, earning accolades for women’s empowerment and innovative schemes like the Biju Swasthya Kalyan Yojna.
Looking ahead, Patnaik unveiled plans for a dedicated youth budget, promising a decade of opportunities for Odisha’s young populace. He underscored his unwavering commitment to the people of Odisha, declaring, “Odisha’s 4.5 crore people are my family, and I will continue working for them till the end.”
