Congress announces candidates, Nagendra Pradhan from Sambalpur LS

Bhubaneswar: The Congress today announced the list of two candidates for Lok Sabha and eight candidates for assembly elections in Odisha.

The Congress has named Suresh Mohapatra for the Cuttack Lok Sabha seat. The party has changed its candidate in Sambalpur. Former BJD leader Nagendra Pradhan, who joined the grand old party recently, has been nominated to contest from the seat. Pradhan represented the seat from 2014-19 as BJD MP.

Among the assembly candidates, Sofia Firdous, daughter of sitting Congress MLA Md Moquim, has been named as Congress candidate for Barabati-Cuttack seat.

In Khandapada seat, Baijayantimala Mohanty has been fielded as party candidate in place of Manoj Kumar Pradhan.
