PhD Degree awarded for research on public relations in Odisha


Bhubaneswar: Amity University Chhattisgarh has awarded Sanjaya Kumar Sahoo a doctorate degree for his research in Odisha’s field of public relations.

He completed his thesis entitled “Public Relations Practices in India: A Comparative Study of Private and Public Sector Enterprises in Odisha” under the guidance of Dr. Kunnathully Nakulan Kishore, HoI (i/c) Amity School of Communication, Amity University Chhattisgarh, and Prof. (Dr.) Suresh Chandra Nayak, Professor, The Assam Royal Global University, Guwahati, Assam.

He becomes the first scholar from Amity University Chhattisgarh to get the Ph.D. degree. His research work is one of the few comprehensive studies on regional public relations in India and public relations practices in Odisha.
Hailing from Indupur in Kendrapara district, he has been working in the field of public relations and communication for the last two decades, demonstrating an unparalleled commitment to excellence and innovation.

He has played a crucial role in shaping strategic communications and media relations for various organisations in Odisha. He has also contributed various research articles to reputed journals in the field of journalism and mass communication.

He is currently working at Jindal Steel & Power as the Dy. General Manager (Corporate Communication). His contributions to the field of public relations and communication in Odisha have earned him honours from several organisations.
