Odisha govt dissolves State Planning Board

Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government has dissolved the State Planning Board.

Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi has approved the proposal for dissolution of this planning body, an official release from the CM’s Office said.

The dissolution of the board will pave the way for formation of a new planning board.

Sources said that the state government is likely to constitute a new planning board soon.

While the Chief Minister heads the planning body, the previous BJD government had appointed senior party leaders as its deputy chairman and members.
