Jio dominates Odisha telecom market

Bhubaneswar: Further cementing its No. 1 position as the most preferred digital service provider in Odisha, Reliance Jio added highest over 1.85 lakh new mobile subscribers in the month of May 2024, revealed the latest telecom subscriber data published by Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI).

As per the data published by TRAI, Reliance Jio was the only service provider which added new mobile subscribers in May 2024, whereas all other service providers lost thousands of subscribers during this period.

With this, the total number of mobile subscribers on Jio network in Odisha reached around 1.55 crores, as on May 31, 2024. Overall mobile subscriber base in Odisha increased by 154141 in May 2024, taking the total number of mobile subscribers in the state to 3.38 crores.

Nationally, Jio also marched ahead with addition of over 21.95 lakh subscribers in May, taking the total number of mobile subscribers on pan-India Jio Network to over 47.46 crores, further consolidating its position as the No. 1 digital service provider in the country. 

Reliance Jio has been the most preferred digital service provider in Odisha with over 45.7% subscriber market share and the highest around 52% revenue market share in the industry.
