Odisha govt frames policy for providing safe environment for medical professionals

Bhubaneswar: Government of Odisha has brought out a set of policy guidelines for providing a safe workplace environment for Doctors, Students and Medicare Persons in Healthcare & Health Education Institutions.

The salient features of the policy are:- provision of robust security arrangements in the Healthcare & Health Education Institutions, emergency response plan, support services, institutional monitoring committee, availability of duty rooms and rest rooms, etc to cater to the security needs of the Doctors, Students and Medicare Persons.

As a first step, security audit of all major health facilities will be undertaken by an interdepartmental team.
