Executive Engineer in Odisha Vigilance trap 

Bhubaneswar: The Executive Engineer of Tel irrigation division in Sonepur district was on Monday nabbed by Odisha Vigilance officials while demanding and accepting a bribe of Rs 46,000.

Jitendra  Kumar  Padhy, Executive Engineer (EE),  has been apprehended for demand and acceptance of bribe from a contractor (complainant) in his office  chamber, for clearing his pending bills.

The entire bribe money has been recovered from the possession of accused Padhy and  seized, Vigilance said. 

Following the trap, simultaneous searches are going on at 6 locations of Padhy from DA angle. 

In this connection,  Sambalpur Vigilance has registered a case.
