Odisha Pavilion to enthral visitors at Pravasi Bharatiya Divas

Bhubaneswar: Odisha is all set to showcase its rich heritage and magnificent beauty at the upcoming Pravasi Bharatiya Divas Convention at Janata Maidan in Bhubaneswar through a theme-based pavilion- “Glorious Odisha: From Ancient to Modern.”

Spanning 400 square metres, this Odisha-themed exhibition will stand as a cultural epicentre, captivating domestic and international delegates, including NRIs, with its immersive portrayal of the state’s rich heritage and strides towards modernity.

The pavilion will offer a seamless fusion of tradition and innovation, reflecting Odisha’s true identity. Combining intricate architectural details and thematic design, the structure will utilise eco-friendly materials while adhering to stringent safety and quality standards.

The spectators will witness Odisha’s vibrant artistry, diverse cultural landscape, vast tourism potential, and] industrial accomplishments. High-quality visuals, advanced printing techniques, and durable materials will create a lasting visual impact. Cutting edge digital integrations, including audio-visual displays, animated narratives, and virtual reality experiences, will heighten visitor engagement.

The entrance will feature large-scale 3D installations, including a stunning replica of the Konark Sun Temple illuminated with intricate lighting, an immersive Chilika Lake ecosystem with water elements and virtual wildlife, and vibrant exhibits of traditional crafts like Pattachitra, applique work, and tribal artistry.

The pavilion’s exterior will narrate Odisha’s legacy through visually arresting depictions of its handloom traditions, architectural wonders, and contributions of tribal communities. Inside, dynamic models will demonstrate Odisha’s industrial evolution, highlighting key sectors such as steel, aluminium, and technology.
