Cuttack: In a good news for the aspirants from undivided Koraput, the Odisha Public Service Commission(OPSC), has created one more examination centre at Jeypore in Koraput district.
This move of the Odisha Public Service Commission will help nearby aspirants as they will be able to sit for examinations at Jeypore centre.
Various competitive examinations, conducted by the OPSC will be conducted at Jeypore centre.
‘It is for the information of all concerned that the Commission has decided to constitute another EXAMINATION ZONE at Jeypore in Koraput district in addition to existing five Zones at Balasore, Berhampur, Bhubaneswar, Cuttack & Sambalpur for conducting various written examinations,” said OPSC in a notification.
Recently, Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi also proposed establishing an examination centre of OPSC at Jeypore. The OPSC operates five examination centres– Balasore, Berhampur, Bhubaneswar, Cuttack and Sambalpur.
It may be noted that Chief Minister Majhi has emphasized the importance of increasing government manpower to enhance public services during a meeting with the chairpersons of various recruitment commissions at Lok Seva Bhawan on January 1.
The Chief Minister also directed all departments to submit proposals to the recruitment commissions by March 31, 2025.
