Bhubaneswar: BJP National President and Union Health Minister Jagat Prakash Nadda is set to arrive in Bhubaneswar today, marking an important visit to the state of Odisha. As per the schedule, Nadda will land at Biju Patnaik International Airport in Bhubaneswar at 7:55 pm, before traveling to Puri to attend a significant National Health Mission program.

The program, which is part of the ongoing efforts to strengthen healthcare infrastructure and delivery in India, will be held in the pilgrim city of Puri. Nadda is expected to spend the night in Puri, ahead of the National Health Summit the following day, scheduled for 10:00 am.

The National Health Summit will be a crucial event for Odisha’s healthcare sector, with the Odisha Chief Minister, Mohan Charan Majhi, and the state’s Health and Family Welfare Minister, Mukesh Mahaling, also expected to attend. Several state health officials will join the summit, where discussions will focus on improving healthcare delivery and addressing current challenges in the health sector. The Union Health Minister will engage in these important discussions with the health officials to evaluate and assess the progress of the National Health Mission in Odisha and nationwide.

A key highlight of the event will be the release of the report of the 16th Common Review Mission. This mission evaluates the progress of the National Health Mission, assessing the achievements, challenges, and areas that require attention for better healthcare services. The report will serve as a guide for future health initiatives in the state and across the country.

In addition to his official duties, Jagat Prakash Nadda will visit the revered Shree Jagannath Temple at 2:00 pm. The temple is a significant cultural and religious landmark in Puri, attracting millions of devotees every year. This visit adds a spiritual element to Nadda’s schedule, enhancing the significance of his trip to Odisha.

Later, Nadda will return to Bhubaneswar for a brief rest at the State Guest House before departing for Delhi in the evening. This marks Nadda’s second visit to Odisha in recent months, following his previous visit to the state on September 26 last year.
