Odisha govt hikes DA by 2% for employees and pensioners

DA increased from 58% to 60%, effective from January 2026
Bhubaneswar: In a major relief for lakhs of government employees and pensioners, the Odisha Government has announced a 2 percent hike in Dearness Allowance (DA).

The announcement was made by Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi today.

With this latest revision, the Dearness Allowance for Odisha state government employees has increased from 58% to 60%. The revised DA will be implemented retrospectively from January 1, 2026, benefiting employees with arrears for the previous months.

Revised DA to reflect in May 2026 salary

According to the official announcement, the increased DA amount will be paid in cash along with the salary for May 2026. The move is expected to provide financial relief to employees amid rising inflation and increasing living expenses.

Pensioners also get 2% TI hike
