Ajit Kumar Shasany appointed Vice-Chancellor of Central University of Odisha

Koraput: Director of the CSIRNational Botanical Research Institute, Lucknow Dr. Ajit Kumar Shasany has been appointed as the Vice-Chancellor of Central University of Odisha.
The appointment has been made by the President of India, in her capacity as the Visitor of the Central University of Odisha.

According to an official communication issued by the Ministry of Education, Government of India dated 02.07. 2026 Dr. Shasany has been appointed for a term of five years.

He has also served as the Director, ICAR-National Institute for Plant Biotechnology, New Delhi and Chief Scientist, Biotechnology Division, CSIR-Central Institute of Medicinal and Aromatic Plants, Lucknow.
