Fire breaks out at OPTCL’s power grid in Dhenkanal

Bhubaneswar: A massive fire broke out at OPTCL’s power grid in Kantabania of Dhenkanal after an explosion in Ib Thermal-Vedanta feeder on Friday.

Five fire tending vehicles have been engaged to control the blaze at OPTCL’s power grid.

It is suspected that the fire broke out at OPTCL’s power grid possibly due to overheating of transformers.

However, the exact reason behind the fire is yet to be ascertained.

An official said an inquiry would be conducted to find out the reason behind the fire at OPTCL’s power grid in Dhenkanal.
