Sarapanch detained for misbehaving woman in Jajpur!

Bhubaneswar: The Chandikhole police in Odisha’s Jajapur district detained a Sarpanch on the charges of misbehaving with a woman a few days back.

The detained person was identified as Majhipada Sarpanch Tapas Ray.

Sources said the family members of the woman had lodged a complaint in the police station alleging that the Sarpanch had misbehaved with the woman.

As the police didn’t take any action, the family members met the Jajpur Superintendent of Police and requested him to arrest the accused.

On the direction of the SP, police has taken Ray to detention, according to reports.
