June is crucial in fight against COVID-19: Naveen

Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Thursday said June will be crucial in the fight against COVID-19 in the state as he appealed the people to remain indoors and strictly follow the lockdown guidelines.

In a video message, he said the next 25 days are important for the fight against the Coronavirus.

“Relaxation of lockdown does not mean Coronavirus has disappeared. Don’t make that mistake. As I had told earlier, the month of June will be the most crucial in our fight against the virus,” said the Chief Minister.

The return of migrant workers and the onset of monsoon would be a testing time for the State.

“How we manage the spread of the disease will depend on how efficiently we abide by the COVID-19 related guidelines during this month,” said Naveen.

He said proper use of masks will significantly reduce the chances of Coronavirus transmission.

The CM advised everyone not to step out unless there is some urgent work to be done.
