Odisha govt to facilitate transportation, accommodation for JEE aspirants


Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government has decided to facilitate transportation and accommodation for JEE Main and NEET examinees in the state, informed chief secretary Asit Tripathy on Friday.

Around 37,000 candidates will appear JEE Main in 26 centres of seven cities across Odisha. The entrance exam is scheduled to be held from September 1-6.

The state govt will facilitate free transportation and accommodation facilities to the needy candidates appearing JEE. There will be no restrictions on vehicle movement of candidates, said Tripathy.

He said the district adminstrations have been alerted accordingly to ensure that students do not face any difficulty in transportation.

JEE aspirants have been urged to share details on number of nodal ITI principals of their localities.

“If information is not received by August 31, it will be difficult for us to make arrangements,” he added.
