Annual HSC (10th) exam 2021 cancelled in Odisha


Bhubaneswar: In view of rising Covid-19 cases, the Odisha government cancelled the annual High School Certificate (Matric) Examinations 2021, informed School and Mass Education Minister Sameer Dash on Wednesday.

On Tuesday, hundreds of Class 10 students staged protest in front Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik’s residence seeking cancellation of the board exams.

Earlier, the state government had postponed the 10th and 12 exams.

Results of 10th Board

Results of Class-X board will be prepared on the basis of an objective criterion to be developed by Board of Secondary Education (BSE).

Any candidate, who will not be satisfied with the marks awarded to him/her on the basis, will be given an opportunity to sit in an examination as and when the conditions are conducive to hold the examination.

The Director, Secondary Education, as the president of Odisha State Board of Madrasa Education will also take appropriate steps for awarding alternate mode of marks to the students who are supposed to appear in Madrasa Board Examination.
