Covid-19: Odisha announces 14-day lockdown

Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government on Sunday announced two-week lockdown from May 5 to May 19 to prevent the spread of Covid-19 in the state.

During the lockdown, people can walk within 500 metres to fetch essentials like vegetables and milk between 6 am and 12 am.

Vaccination will continue during the lockdown in Odisha.

There will be no restrictions on movement of vehicles or persons providing healthcare and essential services.

Besides, the weekend shutdown restrictions will remain in force in all urban areas on Saturdays and Sundays.
