All engineering colleges in Odisha to remain shut till May 2


Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Government on Wednesday announced temporary suspension of classroom teaching in all the technical institutions across the state till may 2.

The decision has been taken due to prevailing heatwave condition in the State. According to Skill Development and Technical Education Department sources, the classroom teaching in all technical institutions will remain shut from April 28 to May 2.

However, the examinations, which were scheduled earlier will be held as per the time table.Worth mention, the Odisha government on Tuesday announced temporary suspension of classroom teaching in all higher education institutions from today (Wednesday).

Classroom teaching of both undergraduate and post graduate courses in all higher education institutions coming under the jurisdiction of the Higher Education Department of Odisha will remain suspended from April 27 to May 2, Higher Education Department principal secretary.

However, other activities such as examination, evaluation, administrative work, research work, among others, will continue as usual.
