DA case: OSRTC official arrested by Odisha Vigilance


Bhubaneswar: Odisha Vigilance on Saturday arrested Bijay Kumar Mangaraj, Financial Advisor and Chief Accounts Officer (FA & CAO), OSRTC for possession of assets disproportionate to her known sources of income.

The Vigilance also confirmed that Mangaraj owns a two-storeyed bungalow in Ernakulam, Kerala.

Based on searches conducted on properties of Bijaya Kumar Mangaraj, he was found in possession of disproportionate assets including 2 double storeyed buildings in Bhubaneswar, 1 double storeyed bungalow in Kerala, 2 high value plots in BBSR, deposits over Rs.1.47 crores, gold approx 500 gms, 2 four wheelers, etc, which he could not explain satisfactorily, said the Vigilance in a statement.

Today, the details of a two storeyed bungalow owned by Mangraj in Ernakulum, Kerala, were confirmed. 

Following this, Bijaya Kumar Mangaraj, Financial Advisor & Chief Accounts Officer (FA & CAO), OSRTC, Bhubaneswar has been placed under arrest by Odisha Vigilance and will be forwarded today to court for possession of disproportionate assets.

In this connection, Bhubaneswar Vigilance PS case No.18/2024 has been registered against Mangaraj, it said.
