Paatal Lok 2: Odisha IPS officer demands promotion for Hathi Ram Chaudhary

Mumbai/Bhubaneswar: Paatal Lok returned on Amazon Prime Video with a new season a few days ago and has received a positive response.
Viewers have praised its storyline and the performances of the cast members.

Popular actor Jaideep Ahlawat’s performance in Paatal Lok season 2 has been garnering widespread acclaim, and Bollywood director Anurag Kashyap is the latest addition to the show’s fan club.

Meanwhile, an IPS officer from Odisha has demanded promotion of Hathi Ram Chaudhary played by Jaideep Ahlawat.

Taking to X, 2014-batch Odisha Cadre IPS officer and Cuttack SP Prateek Singh said , “Dear @DelhiPolice, Please promote Sh Hathi Ram Chaudhary to ACP in next season. He has been doing a stellar job during last 2 seasons. P.S.- There are only few idiots who are trying to save the boat from sinking.”

Many users have been reacting to the IPS officer’s social media post. “But Hathi Ram looks more real than a Suryavanshi or Singham,” a user wrote.

He is projecting a real-life character of hardworking police officials , who is facing daily challenges at home, office, and outside.. the more human face of our brave police officials, another user commented.
The season 2 of Paatal Lok returned after four years of the original show and now streaming on Prime Video. The show has been created by Sudip Sharma and Avinash Arun Dhaware. In the show, Jaideep is back as Inspector Hathiram Chaudhary to investigate a high-profile murder case, which takes him to northeast India.
