Train services affected due to landslide on Koraput–Kirandul Line

Bhubaneswar: Due to continuous heavy rainfall, a landslide has occurred between Malliguda and Jarati stations on the Koraput–Kirandul line under the Waltair Division, leading to disruption of train services.

Railway officials have reached the site to assess the situation and are working on a priority basis to restore normalcy. Heavy earth-moving equipment, manpower, and necessary materials have been mobilized, and restoration work is underway on a war footing.

As a result, the following train services have been cancelled:

Train No. 18448 – Jagdalpur–Bhubaneswar Hirakhand Express, scheduled to depart from Jagdalpur on 2nd July 2025

Train No. 18516 – Kirandul–Visakhapatnam Night Express, scheduled to depart from Kirandul on 2nd July 2025
