HYMX Concrete serves devotees at Rath Yatra 2025 with free meals

Puri: As millions of devotees converged in Puri to witness the grandeur of the annual Rath Yatra, one small initiative stood out for its genuine warmth and humility.

HYMX Concrete, a trusted name in Odisha’s infrastructure sector, set up a modest food stall near the revered Gundicha Temple, quietly offering freshly cooked meals and drinking water to weary pilgrims.
This heartfelt gesture wasn’t part of a flashy corporate campaign or a formal CSR rollout. Instead, it was a spontaneous act of service, aimed at supporting barefoot devotees making their spiritual journey through the heat and crowds.
Throughout the day, the stall became more than just a point of refreshment. It transformed into a communal space where strangers exchanged blessings, shared smiles, and experienced the deeper spirit of Rath Yatra—unity in faith.
By sharing a simple bowl of food, HYMX Concrete echoed the festival’s core essence: compassion, togetherness, and devotion.
HYMX Concrete is well-known in the construction industry for providing reliable ready-mix concrete and infrastructure solutions throughout Odisha. But at the heart of its mission is something even deeper: a desire to remain rooted in the communities it serves.
“At HYMX Concrete, we are more than engineers and builders. We are sons and daughters of this soil,” said Amlan Parida, Director of AKP.HYMX. “Every Odia feels something during Rath Yatra. This year, we wanted to participate—to make our modest contribution—rather than merely observe it,” he added.
The HYMX Concrete staff and volunteers chose to spend the day serving food, managing the crowd, and making sure everyone was made to feel welcome.
What stood out was the genuineness of the effort. The stall provided more than just food for a large number of patrons, some of whom had waited for hours or walked miles. In the midst of chaos, it provided a brief moment of kindness.
