MBBS classes begin at Talcher medical college


Talcher: MBBS classes have officially commenced at the Pabitra Mohan Pradhan Medical College & Hospital, Talcher, an institution established under the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative of Mahanadi Coalfields Limited (MCL).

The launch marks a significant milestone in strengthening medical education and healthcare infrastructure in the region.

The medical college stands as a testament to MCL’s enduring commitment to enhancing accessible, quality healthcare and expanding opportunities for advanced medical learning across its command areas.

Extending its best wishes to the first batch of MBBS students, MCL encouraged them to embrace their medical journey with dedication, compassion, and a steadfast commitment to serving society.

The inaugural ceremony witnessed the presence of Samir Kumar Jena, Sub-Collector, Talcher; Ashok Kumar Dhal, Area General Manager, Jagannath Area; and Madan Mohan Pradhan, CDMO. Senior officials, faculty members, and representatives from the academic and medical fraternity also attended the event, marking the formal beginning of academic operations at the institution.
