Jio dominates Odisha in 2025, adds over 15 lakh new mobile subscribers

Bhubaneswar: Reliance Jio continued its excellent march as the No. 1 and most preferred digital service provider in Odisha, adding over 15 lakh new mobile and home broadband subscribers in the state in the first 10 months of 2025.

As per the telecom subscription reports published by Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI), Reliance Jio cornered over 78 percent of total new mobile subscriber addition in the state, adding over 12.77 lakh new mobile subscribers in Odisha in these 10 months. The dominance of Reliance Jio can be gauged from the fact that its nearest competitor had just 18 percent share of total new mobile subscribers added in Odisha in this period.

In the home broadband segment, Jio further strengthened its strong dominance, adding around 2.4 lakh new JioFiber and JioAirFiber subscribers in the state in the first 10 months of 2025. It registered an impressive 60 percent growth in its home broadband subscriber base in Odisha during the 10-month period, taking the combined number of JioFiber and JioAirFiber subscribers to over 6.4 lakhs, as of October 31, 2025.

Nationally, it has been a year of many milestones for Jio as it became the first Indian telecom service provider to surpass 50 crore subscriber milestone in September 2025, solidifying its status as the world’s largest mobile data network by traffic volume. Jio also took a big leap to become the World’s No. 1 FWA Provider as Jio AirFiber, its 5G & UBR based Fixed Wireless Access service, became the global leader by subscriber count in July 2025, surpassing T-Mobile.  It presently has over 1 crore JioAirFiber users, enjoying world-class home entertainment, unlimited WiFi as its Smart Set Top Box integrates gaming, entertainment & cloud. The expansion of the True 5G network has been rapid, with 5G services data consumption now accounting for around 50% of the total wireless data traffic.

It is worth mentioning that Jio dominates the Odisha telecom market with over 47 percent mobile subscriber market share and solid leadership position in both wireline and FWA segments. As per the data, Jio has been the No. 1 service provider in all three – wireless, wireline and FWA segments in Odisha with the highest 1.69 crore mobile subscribers, over 3.45 lakh JioFiber subscribers, over 2.59 lakh 5G FWA (JioAirFiber) and over 36000 UBR FWA subscribers in the state.
