Jio triumphs in Odisha as only service provider to add subscribers in May

Bhubaneswar: Continuing its dominance as the No. 1 and most preferred digital service provider in Odisha, Reliance Jio has added over 1 lakh new mobile and home broadband subscribers in the state in the month of May 2026.

As per the latest telecom subscription data, released by Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI), Jio added over 94000 new mobile subscribers and over 13500 new home broadband subscribers, in May 2026.

In fact, Jio was the only service provider which added mobile subscribers in Odisha, in the month of May while all others lost several thousands of subscribers during the month. Overall mobile subscriber base in Odisha increased by over 49000 in the month of May, taking the total mobile subscriber base in Odisha to 3.84 crores.

Further solidifying its market leadership in the home broadband segment, powered by the immense popularity of JioAirFiber across the state, Reliance Jio added over 13500 new home broadband subscribers. With this, Jio has further consolidated its market leadership in all three segments – wireless, wireline and Fixed Wireless Access (FWA) in Odisha.

As the No. 1 digital service provider in the state, Jio now has the highest over 1.8 crore mobile subscribers, 3.77 lakh JioFiber subscribers and over 4 lakh JioAirFiber subscribers. Driving digital inclusion in thousands of small towns and villages across the rural hinterlands of Odisha, Jio has made high speed broadband connectivity available at their doorsteps. 

As per TRAI data, nationally, Jio added over 25 lakh new subscribers including 21.5 lakhs new mobile subscribers and over five lakhs new home broadband subscribers including over 4 lakhs new JioAirFiber subscribers in the month of May 2026.
