Jio leads Odisha with 1.89 crore mobile and home broadband subscribers

Bhubaneswar: Further solidifying its market leadership, Reliance Jio has added the highest number of new mobile subscribers in Odisha, in the month of June 2026. 

As per the latest telecom subscription data, released by Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI), Jio added over 1.13 lakh new mobile subscribers and over 15000 new home broadband subscribers, in June 2026. In fact, nearly 80% of new mobile subscribers and over 91% of new Fixed Wireless Access (FWA) home broadband subscribers in Odisha, in the month of June, joined Jio network, making it the most preferred digital service provider in the state.

With this, Jio further consolidated its leadership position in Odisha as the No. 1 service provider in wireless, wireline and FWA segments. As per the data, total mobile subscriber base in Odisha increased by over 1.41 lakhs in the month of June and crossed 3.86 crores, as of 30^th June 2026.

In the month of June, Jio added the highest 1.13 lakh new mobile subscribers in Odisha, followed by Vodafone Idea adding 16885 new mobile subscribers and Airtel adding just 13633 mobile subscribers. BSNL lost 3678 mobile subscribers during the month, as per the data released by TRAI, recently.

Jio further consolidated its market leadership in the Fixed Wireless Access service with over 4.16 lakh JioAirFiber subscribers, dominating with around 80% of total FWA subscribers in the state.  In the month of June Jio added over 15000 home broadband subscribers in the state and the total number of JioFiber and JioAirFiber subscribers in Odisha crossed 7.95 lakhs as of 30^th June 2026. 

As the No. 1 digital service provider in Odisha, Jio now has the highest over 1.81 crore mobile subscribers, 3.79 lakh JioFiber subscribers and over 4.16 lakh JioAirFiber subscribers. Driving digital inclusion in thousands of small towns and villages across the rural hinterlands of Odisha, Jio has made high speed broadband connectivity available at their doorsteps. 

As per TRAI data, nationally, Jio added over 26 lakh new subscribers including 21.46 lakhs new mobile subscribers and over 4.9 lakhs new home broadband subscribers in the month of June 2026. In fact, Jio added the highest 3.33 million active wireless subscribers in this month, the highest by any operator. Jio also leads the 5G Fixed Wireless Access segment with 9.11 million subscribers and remains the sole provider of 5G UBR fixed-wireless services in the country.
