BHUBANESWAR: A severe cold has swept major parts of Odisha throwing normal life out of gear as 13 towns of the state recorded below 10 degree Celsius on Sunday.

Met department sources said the cold wave is likely to continue until Jan 26.

Phulbani and Daringibadi are the coldest places in the state which recorded 2 degree Celsius while snowfall occurred in the area bringing cheer for the visitors.

Temperature slumped to 10 degree at Titlagarh, Koraput, Bolangir, Hirakud, Sundargarh, Sambalpur, Bhawanipatna, Angul, Keonjhar and Baripada.
