5 Odisha jail officials selected for Prez medal

BHUBANESWAR: Five jail official of Odisha have been selected for the President’s Medal for the year 2015. They would be awarded for their contribution to jail reforms.

According to a communique from Rashtrapati Bhawanipatna on Monday, RabindranathBarik, assistant jailor of Jagatsinghpur district jail will receive the President’s Medal for distinguished service.

Other five jail officials will receive the Medal for meritorious service. They are Subhakant Mishra, sub-jail superintendent of Titlagarh, Satya Prakash Swain, Jailor of Dhenkanal district jail, Subash Chandra Pradhan, Dhenkanal district probation officer and Surendra Barik, assistant jailor, Barbil sub-jail.
