CUTTACK: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Wednesday dedicated the new radiotherapy facilities (Linear Accelerator Systems) at a cost of Rs. 47.33 crores and laid the foundation for the construction of six floors above the radiation oncology building in Acharya Harihar Regional Cancer Centre (AHRCC) here.
The high energy machine is only of its kind in Odisha designed to deliver precise radiation to the tumour which will treat at least 70-100 cancer patients a day by radiotherapy with ultramodern technology, said the Facebook post of Chief Minister Office.
In a year, AHRCC will be able to treat 2000-2500 patients, it added.
