Entrance Exam For Diploma Courses Abolished


BHUBANESWAR: The Odisha government on Friday abolished the entrance examination system for diploma engineering courses.

According to a notification of technical education department, admission for the diploma engineering courses will be held on marks secured in High School Certificate (HSC) examinations.

The students securing 35% marks in HSC can apply for admission into the Diploma courses, said the notification.

Technical Education Minister Sanjay Dasburma said the students securing 35% mark in HSC could apply for diploma courses while they will be selected on their marks secured in the HSC exam.

Notably, the state cabinet had taken a decision in this regard earlier.
