Rituraj’s Sufi Album ‘To Bina’ Set For Holi Release

BHUBANESWAR: Vogue, the first Sufi band from Odisha, has collaborated with India’s Raw star Rituraj Mohanty to record a ‘semi sufi album’ featuring six tracks.

Along with Rituraj, Sushil Dalai and Sasanka Shekhar Sahoo will record the semi Sufi album. The video shooting of the album, titled ‘To Bina’, will begin March 12.

‘To Bina’ will be the first album of the band. Its title track and another number ‘Priya Re’ released in the audio format last month. The six tracks were written and sang by the band members during their days at Utkal Sangeet Mahavidyalaya. Each member has sung two songs in the album.

To Bina was sung by Rituraj and the music was given by Sushil. They have decided to compile the soulful track into an album. Last year, the audio versions of ‘Piya Re’ and ‘To Bina’ were released and received a good response.

The songs are written by Ratnakar Dalai and Kiran Kishor. The music is Sushil’s and to Nihar Kant Swain goes the credit of video direction. The band’s members, Amit Jhansi of Prince Group and Rituraj will be seen in the video album which is slated for a Holi release.
