“To avail the concession from different departments to be incorporated in the textile policy, it has been circulated among various departments. After receipt of recommendations and feedbacks from various departments, further steps shall be taken for the launching of the textile policy,” she added.

After launching of the policy, it is expected that investors will be attracted for the establishment of mega textile units, said the minister.

She, however, denied that there was no plan of action for the establishment of mega textile units in the state.

The minister, who replied the question of Dhenkanal MLA Saroj Samal, said there is no plan for setting up textile industry in Dhenkanal district.

She also informed that the Kalinga Weavers Cooperative Spinning Mills Ltd situated at Govindpur, Dhenkanal is under privatisation process.
