Chit Fund Scam: MM Das Commission Submits Interim Report

BHUBANESWAR: Justice MM Das Commission inquiring into the multi-crore chit fund scam in Odisha submitted an interim report to the state government on Wednesday.

The interim report was submitted by the Secretary of the probe panel to Home Secretary Asit Kumar Tripathy on Wednesday afternoon.

The Commission Secretary told media persons that the interim report was based on the deposit of small investors who were duped in the chit fund scam.

Notably, the state government had constituted a commission to inquire into the chit fund scam in the state after much hue and cry among the public.
