WiFi Service At Puri Railway Station Before Rath Ratra, Cuttack By December


BHUBANESWAR: East Coast Railway (ECoR) general manager Rajiv Vishnoi on Wednesday said WiFi service would be available at Puri railway station before Ratha Yatra while Cuttack by December this year.

In April, Railways launched high-speed public free WiFi service at Bhubaneswar railway station in partnership with Google.

Besides, 105 unmanned level crossings are to be withdrawn before Rath Yatra. The double lining of 157 km rail track, electrification of 277 km rail track, CCTV in 200 coaches would also be completed before the chariot festival, informed Vishnoi.

He said 13 stations-Bhubaneswar, Puri, Cuttack, Brahmapur, Sambalpur, Jajpur Keonjhar Road, Bhadrak, Khurda Road, Visakhapatnam, Srikakulam, Vizianagaram, Rayagada and Palasa are to be redeveloped.

He said Bhubaneswar had been placed 7th position all over the country in cleanliness audit conducted by the third party.
