BALASORE: Rotary Club Saswata organised a workshop on ‘Global Peace’ on Thursday at Balasore.
The world was passing through a very critical phase due to violence and intolerance. In the name of religion, caste and community, tension is seen everywhere, observed speakers present at the workshop.
Peace approach is the need of hour not only in the globe or the country sphere; it is required within a family, they said.
They also said the human being had become self-centered and selfish while parents are leaving their wards in the hostel and the children are leaving their old parents in the old age home.
They observed stressing love and universal brotherhood are vital to the global peace.
Pradeep Mishra, Pramod Panda, Santanu Pani and Sukumar Rana were among the club members deliberated on the topic. In the meantime, the Inner Wheel Club of Saswata was formed in the name of Sanad. District chairperson Nalini Mahapatra, Arati Das and Padmini Jena were among the office-bearers of the newly-formed club spoke on the occasion.
