Centre To Consider Setting Up Fertiliser Plant If Odisha Provides Land


BERHAMPUR: Union Minister of State for Chemicals and Fertilisers Hansraj Gangaram Ahir on Tuesday said the Centre would consider setting up a fertiliser plant in Berhampur if the Odisha government submits a proposal.

“If the Odisha government offers a plan for establishing a fertiliser plant in Berhampur and agrees to provide necessary land, we will consider it,” said Hansraj Ahir addressing at the Vikas Ustav in the silk city.

He said the state would get maximum benefit from coal block auction.

He said the state would get around Rs 54,000 crores from coal block auction.

Union Minister for Civil Aviation Ashok Gajapathi Raju said the Centre would consider to develop and operationalise Rangeilunda airstrip provided that the proposal comes from the state government.

Both the Ministers also highlighted various schemes and programmes initiated by the Narendra Modi-government.

Several BJP leaders of the state attended the Vikas Ustav at Berhampur.
