No Proposal Received For Textiles Park In Odisha: Gangwar

BHUBANESWAR: Union Minister of State for Textiles Santosh Gangwar on Thursday said his ministry would consider setting up a textiles park in Odisha if the state government gives any proposal.

Gangwar, however, said that his ministry has not received any proposal from the state government in this regard.

The Minister said 24 textiles park has been set up in last two years across the country.

He said the cabinet has approved a Rs6,000-crore package for the textiles and apparels sector to help it wrest a bigger share of the global market.

Minister of State for Food Processing Industries Sadhvi Niranjan Jyoti said 42 food processing parks would be set up by 2019 in the country.

She also said the ministry would consider the proposal of state government for setting up food processing parks.
