Will Cine Lovers Welcome Papu’s Return?

Bhubaneswar: Even though comedian Papu Pom Pom alias Tatwa Prakash Satapathy is out of prison on bail, there is a question whether the casting couch accused will be accepted by the cine lovers after his return to Ollywood industry.

The High Court on Wednesday granted conditional bail to Papu and his aide Pradipta Swain, accused of sexually harassing a minor girl on the pretext of giving assurance to cast her in films.

The actor rose to fame in a short span of time owing to his comic timing and spectacular acting in the Odia film industry.

The shooting of several movies is pending following the arrest of Papu, while several are scheduled to be released soon. However, the producers are apprehensive in releasing the films in next one or two months. Though, they apprehend it may affect their business.

Odia cine actor Kuna Tripathy said, even though it would be difficult for people to accept Papu immediately, the normalcy would return with the passing of time.

Only time will tell whether people will accept Papu or not. These incidents are not rare in the film industry.
