Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government has decided to develop Jagannath project spreading over 34 acres in Puri to accommodate tourists from different states.
The state government took the decision after it received requests from several state governments to provide land to set up guest houses.
Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik took a review meeting in this regard on Tuesday.
IDCO CMD Sanjay Singh said Jagannath project would be developed on 34 acres of land in Puri.
He said the state government would provide infrastructure support for the project.
Besides state guest houses, parks, market complexes, and footways would be constructed in the area.
