Dhamra Port receives 1000th vessel

Dhamra: MV Dubai Sun is the 1000th vessel which berthed at Adani Dhamra Port of Bhadrak district in Odisha. This vessel carrying iron ore pellet of approximately 60000 Metric Ton on account of Odisha Metallics Ltd has sailed to China.

It may be noted here that Dhamra port had started commercial operation on 6th May 2011. Around six years back on 18th September 2010, first commercial vessel M.V. Yin Pu had berthed at the port.

In this period, the port has seen a sea of changes in terms of growth and expansion. Many milestones have been achieved during this period (including accommodating largest bulk cargo parcel vessel called ‘’ MV Macau Mineral’’ to any Indian ports).
