Odisha govt to set up a Virtual University

Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government has decided to set up a Virtual University to spread Odia language in digital world.

In order to give shape to the Odia Virtual University, a preparatory meeting was held under the chairmanship of chief secretary AP Padhi at state Secretariat here on Saturday.

The state government is examining various Virtual Universities set up in other states through Odisha Knowledge Hub, said an official.

Notably, the state government has already made an initial budgetary provision of Rs one crore to set up the university.
