BJP president Amit Shah to visit Odisha on January 20

Bhubaneswar: BJP national president Amit Shah is scheduled to visit Odisha on January 20 to attend a religious function in Puri.

Shah will attend the installation ceremony of a new idol of goddess Bimala on the premises of Govardhan Peeth – the seat of Shankaracharya Jagadguru Swami Nischalananda Saraswati.

Shah is also likely to meet Sankaracharya, said BJP sources.

His visit assumed significance for the party ahead of the panchayat polls in the state. The panchayat polls are scheduled to be held in five phases in February.
