Bhubaneswar: With the 2nd T20 World Cup Cricket for the Blind 2017 just a few days away, Blue Voda, a product of Union Foods Pvt Ltd, has graciously come on board of Cricket Association for the Blind in India as the associate sponsor for the World Cup.
Mahantesh G K, President of Cricket Association for the Blind in India said, “We are very happy that Blue Voda of Union Foods has come forward to support our cause. A good beginning, but a long way to go. When companies in smaller cities like Bhubaneswar can appreciate the cause and come forward to support, this should motivate bigger companies in bigger cities to aid us in a big way.”
Managing Director of Union Food Pvt Ltd, Abhishek Mahananda said, “We are extremely happy to be partnering with Cricket Association for the Blind in India (CABI) through our brand Blue Voda Packaged Drinking Water. I congratulate CABI for having pioneered the cause of Cricket for Blind and organizing this World Cup”.

Indus Bank has signed up as sponsors of the Indian team, while other sponsors include State Bank of India, Bank of Baroda, GMR Group, Star TV, ONGC, CBM and Enerzal. Doordarshan will be the broadcast partner for the tournament.
The tournament will be played from January 29 to February 12, with the tournament inaugural hosted in New Delhi and the Tournament Grand Finale in Bengaluru. India, Australia, Bangladesh, England, Nepal, New Zealand, Pakistan, South Africa, Sri Lanka and West Indies will be participating in the World Cup. The tournament will be played on a league-cum-knockout basis in 12 cities across India.
