Panchayat polls: Modi thanks Odisha people for supporting BJP

Bhubaneswar: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday thanked the people of Odisha for supporting BJP during Panchayat Polls.

Addressing a huge gathering in Uttar Pradesh’s  Kannauj, Prime Minister said support for BJP is increasing  in all over India.

“From Kannauj, I thank the people of Odisha. Our opposition spreading a lot of lies but they should now know that lies won’t work anymore. In Odisha’s Panchayat election, BJP was weak. But yesterday, BJP got unprecedented support,” said Modi.

In the first phase panchayat polls, BJP has performed well. Out of the 188 zila parishad zones, BJP has secured over 70 seats performing much better than last panchayat polls in 2012.
