Bhubaneswar: Maintaining that he would introspect the setback in the panchayat polls, Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Monday said his party BJD will again return to office in 2019 with a thumping majority with the blessings of people.
“We shall work harder, get more re-connected to the people to fulfill their expectations. I am confident that Biju Janata Dal will again return to office in 2019 with a thumping majority with the blessings of the people by virtue of our good work,” said the Chief Minister.
He said the people have given a golden opportunity for serious introspection.
“Though they are generally happy with our performance, but want us to do some course correction. They have given us a golden opportunity for serious introspection and want us to perform and deliver even better where we are lacking,” said Patnaik.
“We shall review our performance very seriously and shall apply suitable correctives both in terms of Government and on organizational issues,” he added.
Accepting the verdict of people with all humility, he congratulated all the newly elected members of the Panchayati Raj Institutions and wish them to work hard for the cause of the people, in improving the governance process and strengthening the Panchayati Raj Institutions.
