451 km Coastal Highway To Be Constructed In Odisha

Feasibility study of Odisha coastline highway project by April end


Bhubaneswar: The feasibility study of the proposed 450-km highway project along Odisha coastline is likely to be completed by the end of April, said an official on Thursday.

National Highway Authority of India (NHAI) regional officer D Sarangi said the feasibility report, which will have among other things a geo-technical scientific study, will be ready by April end.

He said the department would carry a technical study after completion of the feasibility study and the Detailed Project Report (DPR) will be worked out.

The highway to be stretched from Gopalpur in Ganjam district to Digha of West Bengal is to be built at an estimated cost of Rs 4,500 crore.
