Bhubaneswar: Ahead of BJP’s national executive meeting to be held in Odisha, BJD’s Dhenkanal MP Tathagat Satpathy on Monday alleged that one BJD MP is helping the saffron party to create rift in the regional party.
Kendrapada BJD MP Baijayanta Panda joining in the chorus attacked at the Dhenkanal MP.
Satpathy tweeted, “BJP National Convention scheduled on 15-16 April in Orissa. PM to attend. Intention to put pressure to make state govt defunct.”
He also tweeted “BJP is trying to create rift in BJD like the way it has done in AIADMK earlier.”
The Dhenkanal BJD MP further tweeted “a BJD MP is helping BJP to create a rift in the regional party.”
He also added, “Attempts are being made to hold early polls in Odisha along with Gujarat, Rajasthan, MadhyaPradesh.”
Tathagata also tweeted, “Orissa assembly election scheduled in 2019 along with Lok Sabha. Orissa may not be considered cowbelt.”
Satpathy also questioned the role of Election Commission alleging that BJP will try to take away party name and symbol and rumours afloat that one MP will swing this deal for them (BJP).
In response, Kendrapada BJD MP Baijayanta Panda later tweeted, “He speaks w/ expertise, once suspended from BJD, joined another party.”
