BJP national executive meet will have no impact: Naveen

Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Friday said the BJP National Executive meeting here in the state capital would have no impact on the people of the state.

“I don’t think there will be any effect on Odisha”, Patnaik told media persons before leaving on a five-day tour to New Delhi.

During his stay in New Delhi, the Chief Minister is scheduled to meet some Union Ministers.

He would also meet two MPs-Tathagat Sathpathy and Baijayant Panda-who were in war of words on a social networking site over supporting BJP to engineer a split in the regional party.

The BJP national executive meeting will be held in Bhubaneswar on April 15 and 16.

Reacting to the Chief Minister’s remark, the BJP said the executive meeting has already its impact on the people.

“The BJP’s national executive meet already have its impact on the people of the state. Had there not been the case, Patnaik would not have reacted,” said BJP national spokesperson Sambit Patra.
