Tight security for Prime Minister’s Odisha visit


Bhubaneswar: The Commissionerate of Police on Sunday said adequate security arrangements would be made for the security of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and other union ministers.

Modi is scheduled to attend BJP national executive meeting to be held at Janata Maidan on April 15.

Police Commissioner Y.B. Khurania informed that 300 officers and 70 platoons of armed police would be deployed for the security and traffic arrangements.

“Elaborate plans will be made for the PM’s visit with special focus on security at the airport, Raj Bhawan, and meeting venue,” said Khurania.
